SeeNext has released Digitalisation in Southeast Europe: Beyond Code for More Humanity, introducing the Human-Centered Digitisation Index for Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.
The study looks beyond infrastructure to assess how digital technologies are actually used across Healthcare, Education, Services and the Workplace. Serbia leads the regional index with 64 points, followed by Bulgaria with 59 and Romania with 53, against an EU-27 benchmark of 100.
The findings highlight that the region’s next digital challenge is increasingly about skills, adoption and trust, rather than connectivity alone.
