The winner of the 2024 Manager of the Year Award is Jesus Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect plc, the operator of Sofia Airport. The name of the winner in the Main Category of the 17th edition of the one-of-a-kind competition for top management achievements was announced on 4 November at an official ceremony at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.
BBBA Chair Miroslava Kostadinova and BBBA member Zlatina Ruseva-Savova, Managing Partners at Dinkov, Maximova, Ruseva-Savova took part in the Manager of the Year ceremony and congratulated the winner Jesús Caballero Pinto.
Traditionally, his name was announced by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria – Rumen Radev, in the presence of the other finalists of the Top Ten Managers for 2024 and Alexandra Mircheva, publisher of “Manager” magazine, owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VM Finance Group.

For the third consecutive year, the competition has built on its scope with four additional categories. The evaluation methodology for all companies that submitted applications also undergoes a selection process based on a specific methodology in three stages. The evaluation of all companies applying is carried out by Deloitte Bulgaria. The new award winners in the additional categories were announced from the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet:
- The award in the category “Best New Business ” was won by SofConnect AD, and the award was presented by Peter Stoilov, CEO of Nestle Bulgaria AD.
- The winner in the category “Business in the first 20 million ” was Ligna Group Ltd. The award was presented by Zarina Gencheva, Managing Director of Metroreklama Ltd.
- The award for “Business Transformation ” went to “Sentillion” Ltd. Reni Mitkova, Managing Director of “EOS Matrix” Ltd. announced the name of the new winner of the award for 2024.
- The new winner of the award ,,Team of the Year ” is “Sensata Technologies Bulgaria” Ltd. The award was presented by Milena Videnova, CEO of Expo Bulgaria EAD.
