Green Innovation
The UK has one of the most substantial legal frameworks for climate change anywhere in the world. The centrepiece is the “Net Zero” commitment, announced in June 2019 and enshrined in lawiii, which requires a 100% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 compared with 1990 levels, and the publication of an annual Carbon Budget. Independent scrutiny is provided by the Climate Change Committee (CCC).

People and Work
This report has found that Chambers of Commerce have the significant and inherent strengths needed to be effective leaders in LSIPs for years to come. Business-led LSIPs are working and beginning to make positive differences for local employers. However, transformation takes time, and this report has also identified a need for continued, long-term investment.
