The British Bulgarian Business Association in collaboration with the British Embassy in Sofia invites you to its upcoming green trade mission to Bulgaria. Join us for a targeted business development trip to Bulgaria, where you will meet and mingle with local environmental leaders, innovative start-ups, scale-ups, and stakeholders from local authorities responsible for green transition.

We invite British business to meet with the Bulgarian ecosystem. In addition to attending the 4th annual Green Business is GREAT Conference (this year’s edition – Green Cities are GREAT), delegates will have the opportunity to participate in relevant site visits and closed circle meetings with decision makers in Bulgarian municipalities responsible for green transition, along with a speaker slot at a panel on the conference, based on their expertise. Last but not least, delegates can opt for an individually crafted programme of B2B meetings in accordance with their interests. 

Bulgarian and international experts will share examples of designing green cities, creating modern infrastructure, and building a sustainable urban environment. Furthermore, you will learn about the various policies for developing green cities in Bulgaria and globally.

Evening Networking with speakers at the Green Cities Conference, key local municipalities’ stakeholders, hosted by the British ambassador at his residence (TBC)

November 19

09:00 – 14:00 Attendance at the Green Cities are GREAT Conference – the conference provides an opportunity to meet the Bulgarian business, government representatives, decision makers and budget owners for upcoming sustainability projects

16:00 – 19:00 Site Visit by choice of individual delegates, with options to visit municipality agencies, or industrial zones, or business centres, all focusing on integrating sustainable good practices

20:00 – 22:00 Dinner with local municipality stakeholders from across Bulgaria (TBC)

November 20

09:00 – 13:00 B2B meetings organised in advance according to individual preferences and business profiles, where the delegates will know and agree in advance to the meetings

14:00 – 15:30 Late lunch and debrief of the trade mission, discussion on next steps, and contact exchange Departure
