Economy, AI, energy, security, and the people of Bulgaria are the five topics on which industry leaders will present concrete solutions to the government.

On December 10 in Sofia, Powers Summit 2026 will once again gather leading trade associations, employer unions, business executives, relevant ministers, and representatives from all parliamentary political parties.

Dubbed by the media as “The Bulgarian Davos,” the forum has established itself in recent years as an independent platform for direct dialogue between business, industry, and government—a space where discussions go beyond mere observations to yield concrete proposals and commitments.

This year’s focus centers on five key themes:

  • Bulgaria after the Euro – investment, competitiveness, and productivity
  • AI Bulgaria – technology, data, and the state
  • Energy for Growth – industry, infrastructure, and independence
  • Defense and Security in the Black Sea Region
  • The People of Bulgaria – healthcare, education, talent, and demographics

“Elections come to an end, but the big questions facing Bulgaria remain. Over the years, Powers Summit has proven it can serve as an independent venue where business and industry formulate concrete solutions, and decision-makers are tasked to listen and respond. Experts from every parliamentary party and representatives of the executive branch have taken the forum’s stage, regardless of who was in power at the time. It is precisely this continuity that sets the format apart and ensures dialogue leads to real solutions rather than just stated positions,” commented Aniela Ruseva, Executive Director of Webit.

In the traditional “Government Hears” format, representatives of political parties and the executive branch will respond directly to the priorities raised by business and industry leaders.
