Employment & Compliance Practice
Wolf Theiss Sofia’s Employment practice is one of the firm’s most rapidly growing areas with our team identifying the best opportunities for our clients and their employment relationships while guarding them against risks. We have one of the largest and most experienced employment teams in the country, with focus on employment and compliance legal matters. Our employment mandates expand constantly in new and challenging directions driven by post-Covid investments and transactional activity in Bulgaria. Restructurings, work force expansion and management, mass and sensitive dismissals, employees’ benefits are among the core of our mandates.
Projects Practice
With its extensive industry background and multi-profile experience, covering all aspects of the regulated markets, including the energy market, Wolf Theiss has proven to be one of the top projects, infrastructure, energy and natural resources focused law firms in the SEE/ CEE region.
We have one of the most experienced private practice teams of senior lawyers with first hand experience in any energy related activity along the energy value chain in electricity and natural gas, development and construction, operation and maintenance of energy facilities, including wind, solar and waste to energy projects.
Our clients include multinational and domestic players, state- and privately-owned companies, suppliers, distributors and global financial institutions. We support clients from their entry onto the market with one-stop shop advice on establishing operations and financing, to reorganization and unbundling, sector regulation and overall compliance, construction and development, trade and last but not least dispute resolution.
Wolf Theiss’ Energy and Projects team has successfully demonstrated its in-depth expertise and continues to lead a number of large energy projects across the SEE and CEE region.
Real Estate Practice
Local knowledge means everything in real estate and our network of offices throughout the CEE/SEE region brings together well-versed experts in all aspects of the property cycle – from sale and purchase, to planning and zoning, to design, construction and development, including leases, facility and asset management, finance, dispute resolution and tax. All of our team members have hands-on experience and a track record of handling large-scale cross-border transactions, including some of the biggest property developments in this part of the world in recent years. In Bulgaria, our team advises on a large number of Real Estate & Construction projects and transactions each year. We are looking for lawyers to join our growing team conducting legal due diligence and advising on transactions related to real estate properties, providing advice on regulations, leasing, planning and construction, facility management and property administration and real estate restructuring.
