The extraordinary Kempinski Gourmet Tour reached its final destination in Bansko last Saturday 28 October where this journey of delicious tastes was created by guest-chefs from Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz and the host culinary team of chef Nikola Todorov. The open kitchen at Come Prima restaurant was the stage for an incredible food presentation of a seven-course menu, consisting of fine ingredients and recipes especially crafted by each one of the chefs. The tempting specialities were paired with premium French and Italian wines to enhance the taste of the sublime spectrum of indulgence and experience for real connoisseurs.

In the opulently decorated set-up and candle-lit restaurant, all guests had the privilege to taste the culinary masterpieces of the talented chefs, starting from a gourmet canape to a sweet explosion of not one, but two desserts for the final touch. The exclusive menu started with tasteful gourmet canapés – marinated salmon with Jalapenho espuma and yuzu, deer tartare with mushroom and cranberries and braised celeriac with truffle and hazelnuts. The culinary magic continued with an amuse bouche of langoustine served with pumpkin, apple, lemon and truffle crunch. The flavourful appetiser crafted by master chef Jonas Starkowski from St. Moritz was ricotta spinach and artichokes ravioli. Fish lovers enjoyed tenderloin and char osetra caviar with piedmont celery and citrus Beurre Blanc. The main course was specially prepared by chef Nikola Todorov, rabbit ballotine, foie gras, pancetta, rabbit liver parfait, carrot emulsion and confit potatoes. Before serving the main dessert, guests were offered a refreshing banana ice cream with bitter chocolate, white truffles and pine honey. The sweet final of the dinner was an irresistible passion fruit and pumpkin combination with white chocolate mousse, crunchy pistachio and salted pistachio ice cream.

Guests were pleasantly surprised by the well-combined pairing with each dish of first-class wines and champagnes, including the world-famous Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte and the French rose Rock Angel Côtes de Provence. The long-term partners of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko – BNK once more arranged the premium selection.

The Kempinski Gourmet Tour started on 8 September at the Cà d’Oro restaurant at the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski in the fashionable winter sports resort of St. Moritz, with special participation by chef Nikola Todorov as a guest-chef, and finished at Come Prima restaurant of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko. On 18 November 2023, the famous fine-dining restaurant will host a new tempting dinner dedicated to cuisine in the Italian cinema.
