The medical laboratories chain Synevo Bulgaria, part of theSwedish Medicover Group, acquired the Varna-based private medical diagnosticlaboratory Status. This strategic step expands the presence of Synevo Bulgariain the country, including Varna and the region to its network of blood collectionpoints and laboratories in the country.

The news of the acquisition was officially announced during a pressconference held on June 30 by Stefan Ternström, Chief Operating Officer ofMedicover Diagnostic Services, H.E. Ms. Katarina Rangnit, Ambassador of Swedento Bulgaria, Dr. Stanislav Todorov, director of Status laboratories, and Dr.Sebastian Rotariu, director of Synevo Bulgaria. The presence of the Ambassadorof Sweden demonstrates the strong economic relations between the two countries,the significance of Swedish investments in Bulgarian healthcare, and the votedconfidence of the Medicover Group.
