On March 17th more than a hundred senior executives, investors and energy experts gathered in Sofia for the Executive Business Breakfast “What’s Next for Renewable Energy in Bulgaria & Southeast Europe”, organised by SeeNext.
The discussions focused on the next phase of renewable energy development in the region, highlighting several key trends:
- Renewable energy is increasingly becoming a market-driven investment decision
- Solar capacity growth is reshaping electricity markets across Southeast Europe
- Energy storage is emerging as a critical solution for system flexibility and grid stability
- The market is shifting from simple generation growth to integrated energy systems and
- more complex revenue models
The event featured keynote contributions from Svetlin Pislenski (EBRD) and Nikola Gazdov (APSTE), as well as Anna Vasileva (Renewables Now), who presented data and insights from the latest regional renewable energy analysis. Expert discussions followed with representatives from Sungrow, Siemens, DMT Prime, REIB, KER TOKI POWER and Wolf Theiss.
