A total of 363 teams from 133 companiesfrom various business sectors took part in the Postbank Business Run 2023charity relay race, which took place yesterday on the territory of BusinessPark Sofia. This year’s sports event established itselfas the largest inter-company competition, organized for the tenth time by theBegach Running Club with the leading support of Postbank. The initiativebrought together 1,452 participants, and for yet another year, runners werejoined by 56 children aged 4 to 16 who competed in the Kids Run competition,run by certified coaches under the IAAF Kid’s Athletics program. Twelve managersfrom various companies took part in the established competition, CEO Dash.
The biggest team-building event in Bulgaria took placethis year in support of three causes. The collected funds of over BGN 10,000will support a project of the For Our Children Foundation to provide professionalfoster care for children without parents and relatives, the project”Swimming skills – socialization program for disadvantaged children”of the CONCORDIA Bulgaria Foundation, which has many years of experience inworking with children, youth and their families from vulnerable groups, as wellas the renovation of the new building, and will cover the running costs of theTrotoara 2020 Community Center, which aims to create an environment andcommunity for students, volunteers and all who need to develop and discoverthemselves.
The winner of the relay was the SAP Top Team from SAP,with a time of 55:33 minutes, which is the fastest time so far in the historyof the competition. In second place, with a total time of 57:31, was VMware’sTraditional Thursday team. Third place went to the DSK Running team with a timeof 1:00:10. The Fastest Female Team award went to the VMware Scrambled Legsteam with a time of 1:13:21. The second place among them went to the Run HP Runteam (1:14:45), and the third – to the Alpha team from Uber (1:14:48). In the CEO Dashcompetition for executive directors and senior managers, the fastest among menwas Atanas Trifonov from InoMedicine, who covered the distance of 1 kilometerin 03:17 minutes, and among the women – Iva Dimova from Ipsos with a time of04: 58.
Postbank’s top team (The Big Short) performedexcellently, taking 18th place with an overall time of 1:07:24. The financialinstitution entered the competition with a total of 22 teams.
Postbank Business Run aims to draw people’s attention toa healthy lifestyle and provoke their desire to win through teamwork andcooperation in the name of a noble cause. Traditionally, the organizers donate30% of the fees for participating in the relay to support socially significantprojects.
