On February 5, Bulgarian Parliament voted down the so-called Foreign Agents Bill proposed by Vurzarzhdane.
This is a welcome development following a heated discussion in Parliament and in society. BBCC joined a group of bilateral chambers who expressed their position to the relevant institutions in September 2024. You can review the full text of the letter attached below.
Such examples make us confident that the efforts of bilateral chambers to represent the voice of business in parliamentary discussions is fruitful and we should continue to work in this direction with our Legal and Tax Committee and Board of Directors.
