From February 3 to February 7, the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BBCC), in collaboration with the Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency and the Bulgarian Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry, organised a trade mission for 14 leading Bulgarian furniture companies. The delegation had the opportunity to visit the renowned Spring Fair & Autumn Fair in Birmingham, one of the UK’s largest trade events for retail, home, and gift sectors.
Beyond their participation in the Spring Fair, the Bulgarian delegates also spent a day in Manchester, where a carefully curated agenda was arranged with the support of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. This included a business lunch with key representatives from the local construction sector, providing an excellent networking opportunity and fostering discussions on potential collaborations.
A special highlight of the trip was a presentation by Mark Bryan on Rische Group and the local market, offering valuable insights into industry trends and market entry strategies. Additionally, Belcasa Concept Limited graciously hosted the delegation at their premises, facilitating discussions on prospective partnerships with Bulgarian furniture manufacturers.
Further solidifying the mission’s objectives, Bob Spence dedicated an afternoon to guiding the delegates on their next steps for entering and expanding within the British market.
The BBCC remains committed to strengthening business relations between Bulgaria and the UK. Expanding the range of industries we support is a key priority in enhancing economic ties between the two nations. Stay tuned for more upcoming initiatives throughout the year as we continue to create valuable opportunities for businesses on both sides.
