Meeting Between the BBCC and the Ladies Forum

Aug 29 2025

On August 21, a meeting was held between the management of the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and the Ladies Forum, where the real opportunities for structured cooperation between the two organizations were discussed. It includes joint initiatives supporting the expansion of women’s prospects both in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and in the management teams of local and British companies. Joint efforts will also be aimed at organizing thematic events and international conferences, developing and promoting policies in the areas of gender equality, female entrepreneurship, education, etc. The cooperation between the two organizations will benefit their members in strengthening the network and more fully implementing the strategic goals undertaken in support of the sustainable development of the business environment in Bulgaria.

180 women who occupy high management positions or successfully develop their own businesses participate in the Ladies Forum. Their goal is to share the accumulated experience, exchange ideas and work towards the development of society and the position of women in it.
The forum conducts a Mentoring Program, through which knowledge and experience are transferred between motivated and purposeful women in business, who encourage the potential of the female community of professionals by sharing skills useful for expanding horizons and cultivating self-esteem and confidence in young talents in business.

The forum has also created an innovative database – BOARDROOM HERizon Database – for women suitable for management boards. With its established reputation and public engagement, the Women’s Forum is a guarantor of the quality of women’s applications. The database aims to facilitate the discovery and inclusion of qualified women on company boards, thus supporting the process of improving the gender balance among company directors. The ladies included in the database have proven experience and expertise in various fields, distinguished by leadership skills, strategic thinking and visionary skills necessary for the successful management of businesses and organizations on a local and global scale.
The Forum also has four committees that embody and build on the vision of the members in education and a healthy lifestyle, in supporting policies in the areas of interest of the ladies, in creating opportunities for spreading the principles of the Forum beyond the borders of our country through participation in international forums and initiatives.

BCC: UK-EU Deal Must Unburden Business and Cut Costs

Aug 29 2025

Responding to today’s speech by EU Relations Minister, Nick Thomas-Symonds – William Bain, Head of Trade Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce said:

“A strong agri-food deal will remove costs, red tape and delays for UK businesses trading in food and plant products with the European Union.

“Firms have spent staggering £60m a year on export health certificates since 2021. Removing these costs will reduce inflationary pressures and make supply chains more secure.

“A permanent deal with the EU can’t come soon enough for UK firms. In the talks ahead ministers must deliver a deal that truly unburdens business and cuts costs. Consumers will then reap the benefits in their shopping baskets.

“Making trade with the EU quicker, cheaper and simpler is crucial to boosting economic growth in the years ahead.”

Neterra Named Finalist for “Best Global Telecom – Data”

Aug 25 2025

Strategic Investments and Innovations Position the Company Among the World’s Leading Providers

Neterra, a global provider of connectivity and IT asset management, has been shortlisted in two prestigious categories at this year’s Capacity Global Connectivity Awards 2025. The company is nominated for “Best Central and Eastern Europe Connectivity Provider” – a title it has already won in 2023 and 2024, and makes its debut as a finalist in the highly competitive category of “Best Global Connectivity Provider – Data.”

This recognition comes in a record-breaking year for the awards, which saw 418 entries – a 15% increase compared to 2024. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on October 22 in London.

Over the past year, Neterra has made significant strategic investments in automation and innovative solutions, expanded into new markets, and increased the capacity of many of its Points of Presence worldwide. These nominations also reflect the company’s sustained revenue growth.

Neterra became a Starlink authorized reseller and launched its own plug-and-play solution, delivering instant dedicated internet access anywhere in the world, both via Starlink and in combination with other technologies.

The company’s deep expertise across all telecommunications technologies – from fiber optics, DWDM and Layer 2/3 to satellite, microwave, and mobile networks, along with its broad service portfolio in cybersecurity, colocation, private, public and hybrid cloud solutions, GPS tracking, and DDoS protection, were among the key factors that secured Neterra’s place on the shortlist for Best Global Connectivity Provider, alongside industry giants such as Airtel Business, Colt Technology Services, NTT DATA, Orange Wholesale, and Sparkle.

Neven Dilkov, Founder and CEO of Neterra, commented: “This double nomination is a testament to the passion and dedication of the entire Neterra team. Our repeated recognition as Best Central and Eastern Europe Connectivity Provider reinforces our leadership in the region. At the same time, our first entry among the global leaders highlights the strength of our vision, investments, and innovations. We will continue to deliver excellence and provide solutions that drive connectivity and fuel the growth of our customers worldwide.”
