Do you want to take part in the legendary BBC radio programmes? Perhaps even ask the presenters and panels of scientists questions on the topics of the shows?
When: 8 – 11 May
Where: Sofia Tech Park
This year the Beautiful Science Foundation is proudly inviting you to the first ever recording of two BBC radio shows with live audience in Bulgaria, CrowdScience and The Evidence. Ask questions on the science of food and on the impact of climate on our health. Also, hear the rock-guitar rendition of quantum physics by Dr. Mark Lewney from the UK, explore with him what the future is and is not, dive into the secrets of our genes by Cypriot molecular biologist Myrtani Pieri, and the digital choices we face with Greek researcher of human computer interaction and gamification Kostas Karpozis, look up to the Moon and Mars with China’s space programme and Eric Zhang, discuss the pros and cons of AI with US professor of robotics and computer science Chad Jenkins.
French speakers can also explore the Thracian civilization with the professor of ancient Greek history Aliénor Rufin Solas or modern science fiction with researcher and art historian Fleur Hopkins-Loféron, both from France. Select from the 10 events in the international programme https://beautifulscience.bg/en/programme/ or from the full Main Programme of the festival https://beautifulscience.bg/programa/.
And don’t miss the opportunity to meet researchers, educators and corporate R&D in the busy Explorers Zone of the 15th Sofia Science Festival from 8 to 11 May at Sofia Tech Park.
