Why this tour?
Driven by our desire to explore new places near and far, and in search of different emotions and experiences, we at Usit have created a tour tailored to travel enthusiasts and wine lovers.
Together, we will delve into Hungary’s rich wine and culinary scene, tasting wines from six wineries in some of the most famous wine regions – Villány, Eger, and Tokaj. We’ll combine the intoxication with plenty of natural, cultural, and historical sights to provide a comprehensive and fulfilling experience.
At Usit, we always strive to offer products that meet the needs of even the most discerning clients and stand out with their uniqueness. That’s why, in preparing our series of trips “The Wine Treasures of Europe,” we decided to partner with an expert for whom wine is both a passion and a profession. Someone who will enrich the knowledge of those who trust us and join us on this wonderful journey to Hungary.
We chose Ivaylo Katerski as our partner and group leader. He is a wine enthusiast and traveler, for whom wine is not just a routine but a favorite subject, occupation, and way of life. His passion and quest for knowledge in the field of wine culture have led Ivaylo to London, where he completed the 2nd level, and recently in Sofia – the 3rd level of the prestigious course of the largest educational organization for wines and spirits, WSET (Level 3 Award in Wines Certified).
At the same time, he is the creator of the project for wine and culinary experiences Via Vino, co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals, as well as a licensed tour guide. During our tour, Ivaylo will gladly share some of his accumulated knowledge and introduce you to some of the nuances of oenology – of course, in a fun and engaging way.
