In the aftermath of covid-19, Bulgaria is set to receive Euro 6.2 billion in grants from the Recovery and Resilience Facility and can access loans worth Euro 4.5 billion on a voluntary basis.

The Bulgarian National Recovery and Resilience Plan is built around four pillars: InnovationClimate Transition and Nature ProtectionConnectivity and Social Fairness.

Next Generation EU, the new EU temporary recovery instrument, if used adequately and efficiently, shall provide significant support to promote the sustainable and inclusive growth of Bulgaria as well as the digitalization of key sectors.
