After their appearances in some of Europe’s most renowned halls—such as L’Olympia Paris, BBC Hall Wales, Teatro Malibran in Venice, and many others—QUARTO now faces yet another great artistic challenge: to unite Marin Goleminov’s iconic Bulgarian masterpiece “Microquartet” with Beethoven’s monumental String Quartet in C-sharp minor, Op. 131.
The choice of December 16 is no coincidence—it is the birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, a date QUARTO honors every year. This time, however, the concert will also pay tribute to Prof. Dimitar Kozhev, an esteemed teacher and a profound inspiration in “The Art of the Quartet” for generations of musicians, among whom we, the Quarto Quartet, were fortunate to be his last students.
When: December 16
Where: Bulgaria Concert Hall
With the musicians of Quarto:
Ivan Penchev – violin
Svetlana Stancheva – violin
Tatyana Todorova – viola
Dimitar Tenchev – cello
