The highlight of the summer social calendar is back!
After the resounding success of its debut last year—launched as a signature format during our 10th-anniversary celebrations—the Summer Gala has quickly become one of the BBBC’s most beloved traditions.
This year, we are elevating the elegance even further. We are delighted to invite our members and partners to a spectacular evening inspired by the prestige, style, and excitement of the world-famous Royal Ascot. We are honored to announce that our host for this prestigious evening will be His Majesty’s Ambassador Nathaniel Copsey, further strengthening the bridge between the British and Bulgarian business communities.

Why Royal Ascot?
Royal Ascot is the pinnacle of the British summer season. Founded by Queen Anne in 1711, it is a world-renowned five-day horse racing event held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, England. Known as much for its strict “Royal Enclosure” dress code and iconic millinery as for its world-class racing, it is an event where tradition meets high fashion.
This year, our Summer Gala coincides with the actual Royal Ascot week in the UK (June 17–21, 2025). While the races roar across the British countryside, we will be bringing that same spirit of “A Day at the Races” to Sofia—complete with high-society glamour, refined networking, and, of course, a touch of sporting excitement.

Celebrating with a Purpose
In the spirit of the Chamber’s commitment to social responsibility this year we are delighted to support CAAI. CAAI (Campaigns and Activism for Animals in the Industry) is a Bulgarian non-profit organisation founded to protect animals, especially in factory farming. They work for systemic improvements in animal welfare through legislation, corporate engagement and institutional reform. The organisation has achieved major nationwide results, including helping close Bulgaria’s last mink farm, replacing animal experiments in some disciplines in veterinary education and contributing to legal reforms against animal cruelty. CAAI collaborates with businesses, institutions and international networks such as Eurogroup for Animals, Fur Free Alliance, Open Wing Alliance and Cruelty Free Europe to promote ethical, sustainable and modern solutions for animals and society.
Their vision is of a society that does not see animals as tools for human benefit, but as living beings with their own needs and individuality, entitled to a life of dignity and respect for ethical reasons.

- guests without prior booking won’t be allowed at the event
- cancellations before 10 June will be fully refunded. Cancellations after this period won’t be refunded
- parking will not be available at the residence
- the event takes place outdoors and there is a risk that high heels sink in the soil. Please take that into account and consider appropriate footwear.
