On December 27, 2025, in front of the Rila Hotel, the official opening of the 2026 winter season in Borovets will take place, combined with the start of the celebrations on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the oldest winter resort on the Balkans.
The event marks the beginning of the new ski season and pays well-deserved attention to the rich history of Borovets, which remains a center for winter sports and mountain tourism today.
What to expect at the opening of the 2026 winter season:
