Within the two-day discussion forum, we have included current topics and issues related to the management and control of European Union funds, conducting procedures under the Public Procurement Act, including the most common violations, as well as current case law. Participants in the forum will be able to join a discussion on the topics in the program, as well as have the opportunity to receive answers to previously asked questions in the event forum.

All participants will be issued a document by the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Economics – Center for Educational Services, in accordance with the Regulation on the uniform state requirements for the content of the main documents issued by higher education institutions (PMC No. 215/12.08.2004).

The fee for participation in the forum is 380 BGN, with early registration (until March 15, 2025) participants receive a 10% discount, and with registration of more than 15 participants from one organization – they will receive a 20% discount. Why participate in the discussion forum?

  • Up-to-date information will be provided on funding opportunities for businesses, municipalities and research organisations under programmes funded by EU funds;
  • Current topics and issues related to the management and control of European Union funds will be presented, as well as recent case law;
  • The main principles of the protection of the EU financial interests under administrative law in the management and control of EU funds from European structural and investment funds will be presented, including the specificities of the different types of proceedings and the most common infringements;
  • You will participate in a discussion on the legal and institutional framework for the management of projects co-financed by the European structural and investment funds including procedures for verifying expenditure and dealing with irregularities;
  • You will participate in a discussion on the management of projects, including infrastructure projects, in accordance with applicable legislation and good practice;
  • The rules and specificities for the implementation of projects co-financed by the European structural and investment funds and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan will be presented;
  • You will have the opportunity to get answers to questions asked in advance in the event forum;
  • You will have the chance to participate in the analysis of real case studies from practice and learn lessons to improve your work in the future;
  • You will have the opportunity to communicate effectively with key stakeholders as well as apply appropriate project control and closure methods, including infrastructure projects;
  • Participants will be issued with a document from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Economics – Centre for Educational Services, in accordance with the Ordinance on the Uniform State Requirements for the Content of Basic Documents Issued by Higher Education Institutions (Decree of the Council of ministers №215/12.08.2004).
