An introduction to eCommerce sector in the UK’s Northern Powerhouse – the current market and future trends
The Department for International Trade in co-operation with leading UK business tech publisher BusinessCloud would like to invite you to attend an exclusive CEE inward mission to the UK’s Northern Powerhouse for eCommerce companies.
It will be conducted virtually on the MS Teams platform on 17th March 10am – 1.30 pm CET (please see agenda below) and will give you an unrivalled opportunity to understand how your business can take advantage of the Northern Powerhouse business ecosystem, which has a combined economy of more than 400bn euros.
The event has been broken down into two interactive sessions and will give you the chance to hear from and present to, some top British retailers; eCommerce businesses; and leading names in the Northern Powerhouse. The event will be hosted by award-winning journalist Chris Maguire and profiles of all the companies taking part will be published online.

10.00-10.15am CET: Introduction to the panel
10.15-11.15am CET: The A-Z of the Northern Powerhouse: What is it? How can you benefit from it?
What are the pitfalls? How easy is it for an overseas company to launch a business in the region?
11.30-12.30pm CET: The delegation of CEE tech businesses will each give a 3-4 minute presentation
to a panel of UK eCommerce and retail experts, who will offer some instant feedback.
