Following the success of multiple BBBA delegations to England, we are aiming to promote Bulgarian business and create partnership opportunities in Scotland.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 situation, we are changing the format of this roadshow, bringing it online. In this challenging times, we believe that with this format of the roadshow even more companies will be able to take advantage of the amazing business opportunity. 

BBBA has chosen to reveal Scotland’s unexplored business development potential for Bulgarian companies. As the second biggest economy in the UK, the Scottish economy is a vibrant mixture of traditional businesses, such as agriculture, food and drinks, and new innovative sectors – technology, engineering, sustainability. The roadshow aims to promote Bulgaria to Scottish businesses and put it on the map for them for future partnership opportunities. 

The delegation number is limited to 10 companies, and in order to participate in the selection process companies need to register initial interest on the button below by March 25.

PROGRAMME (TBC)

June 9 – Glasgow

10:00 am – 10:30 pm: Welcome address by Stuart Patrick, CEO of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, introducing advantages of doing business in Glasgow.  

10:30 am – 11:00 pm: Glasgow marketing briefing, presented by local authorities, in cooperation with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

11:00 am – 11:30 pm: Sector specific opportunities – industry professional provides an overview of a specific sector and the opportunities within it 

12:00 pm – 18:00 pm: B2B meetings, organised in partnership with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce (GCC). The GCC will take into account each delegate’s business interest, and look for the best fit in the local market. 

June 10 – Edinburgh

10:00 am – 10:20 am: Liz McAreavey, CEO of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, gives a welcome to the city and discusses the advantages of doing business in Edinburgh

10:20 am – 10:50 am: The delegates will be presented to a general market overview of Edinburgh

10:50 am – 11:00 am: Q&A session

11:00 am – 11:15 am: A specialist to provide overview of the legality of entering the Scottish market

11:15 am – 11:20 am: Q&A session 

11:20 am – 11:30 am: Alexia Haramis (Head of International in the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce) speaks to the delegates about the format of the B2B meetings and answers any questions the delegates might have.

12:00 pm – 18:00 pm: B2B meetings with potential business partners, especially tailored according to the interests of the delegates by the ECC.

As the deadline for signing up for B2B meeting has expired, you can now sign up only for the morning briefing sessions. If you would like to do that, without the B2B meetings option, the fee would be £20 per person.
